Diagonal

DiagonalContinuing with my abstract architecture series (see THIS post for introduction), I couldn’t really think of a clever title for this one so I just called out its dominant element.  I was very drawn to the lines of this building and I took time to consider how I wanted the lines to interact within the frame.  I love the excitement that is created when you take vertical and/or horizontal lines and skew them diagonally in the camera; it offers an alternative to how we typically see our surroundings.  It took multiple tries but eventually I was pleased to be able to connect the lines to the three corners of the composition for (what I think is) an effective design.  I also really like the contrast between the values of the pale, sun-exposed concrete structure and the dense blue sky.
