As much as I love photography I’ve been missing graphic design lately. My career change from graphic designer to high school photography teacher has shifted my everyday focus a bit but I still love both. I thought it was about time I designed something just for the sake of designing something.
I came up with this concept when I was explaining to my class how the modern diaphragm (for you non-photography people, that is the lens mechanism which expands and contracts at the center to restrict light) works just like the iris in the human eye. Combined with this well known saying I thought it would make a decorative yet relevant poster for my classroom. I couldn’t decide which color scheme was my favorite so I printed them both!
