Rotting Roses

I did this one on Sunday morning just as an exercise.  Still life isn’t really my style but it is a nice practice to visit now and then to hone skills.  I got these flowers for Jessi a few weeks ago and they’re pretty  much dried out and falling apart now.  I liked the texture of them so I turned out the lights and opened a window in the kitchen to let in a bit of the dawn light in (about 6AM).   This is the result.
