I’ve spent a lot of time over the last year and a half honing my photography skills, taking it more seriously as an art form than I had in years past. As a result I have deepened my understanding of the craft, gained valuable experience and created a handful of images that I’m very pleased with. I decided to take a few of those images and submit them into a juried exhibition hosted by the West Valley Art Museum, something I’ve never done before. I am excited that all of my submissions were accepted and will be on display in the Peoria City Hall Art Gallery from April 22 through June 13, 2013. Stop by and check it out if you’re in the area!
UPDATE: I was further honored at the awards reception to find out that the jury selected my Descending Grace photograph (shown top right) for first place and my Fiddle in the Middle photograph (shown bottom middle) for third place!
