Myriah 5-b

Myriah 5-bWell, this post took a little longer than I suggested previously; partly because I got busy and partly because I overhauled this image about three times.  I just couldn’t make up my mind on how I wanted the finished piece to look.  I finally settled on monochromatic.

This is the only shot from the series I can claim any creativity for.  The other shooter had finished and just before the model was preparing to leave I asked if she would be willing to try one more pose for me and I gave her the only direction I had during the whole shoot.  I am not 100% happy with my image but I am glad that I finally did speak up as it is one of my favorite shots from the set.

[Update: Here is a link to the oil painting that was created from my photograph: http://dahlstedtart.com/?project=indigenae]
